A First for the Club: Christmas Week Brings Five Days of Festive Fun to the RMCC
For the very first time in the club’s history, Christmas wasn’t just a party—it was a full-blown Christmas Week! From December 8–12, the club was buzzing with holiday spirit thanks to a jam-packed lineup of festive events, all brilliantly spearheaded by Aline Fellmann.
The week kicked off in style on Monday night with a wine tasting led by wine expert Karyne Duplessis Piché, setting a convivial (and delicious) tone for the days ahead. Tuesday brought comfort food with a purpose, as members gathered for a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser hosted by the RMCC Junior Team, with proceeds supporting their team.
By Wednesday, the club was positively humming. A lively Christmas Market filled the dining room, featuring a curling shop, a bake sale fundraiser for the future Ladies Locker Room project, a vintage clothing and accessories pop-up, and a host of fantastic local vendors offering holiday-ready treasures. At the same time, recent members were welcomed at a special New Members Welcome Party, enjoying dinner, drinks, and the chance to mix and mingle.
The festive momentum continued Thursday with a tapas night paired with live comedy—equal parts laughter and flavour—raising additional funds for the Women’s Locker Room project. And then came Friday’s pièce de résistance: the annual Christmas Dinner Party, drawing over 90 members for a night of celebration, sparkle, and seasonal cheer. A heartfelt thank-you goes to the RMCC Junior Team for helping transform the club with festive décor, and to the many volunteer “elves” who pitched in to decorate for both Christmas Week and the Christmas Party. Your efforts truly made the club shine.
