Our Junior Boys team wins provincial gold at the Jeux du Québec — and the club celebrates in style.

On March 7th, the Royal Montreal Curling Club's Junior Boys Under 18 team did something the Montréal region hadn't seen in nine years: they brought home a curling gold medal from the Jeux du Québec. After a series of hard-fought matches in Blainville, Québec — including a perfect preliminary round and a victory in the final — our Juniors stood atop the provincial podium, representing Montréal with remarkable skill and composure.

The Jeux du Québec is one of the province's most prestigious multi-sport competitions, gathering the best young athletes from across Québec in a showcase of regional pride and competitive spirit. For this group, the achievement carries extra weight: the team was formed just a year and a half ago. That a squad so young could excel on such a stage — and earn the honour of serving as flag bearers at the closing ceremony — speaks volumes about their talent and dedication.

A month later, on April 7th, the club welcomed the team home in proper fashion. An evening organized by Aline Fellmann brought together coaches, family, friends, and RMCC members to witness the official banner unveiling — a permanent mark of the team's achievement that now hangs proudly in the ice shed. The Junior Girls team was also honoured that same evening for their own strong season, defined by energy, positivity, and the kind of teamwork that makes a coach proud.

Congratulations to all our Junior athletes. You've made the Royal Montréal community genuinely proud!
